Bolt type for wheel rim

I recently aquired some wide tyres / rims for my Zetor 5011.
They don't come with bolts and am wondering if I have to use high tensile bolts or standard steel bolts.
These bolt to just inside the wheel rim where forces should be lowish. Not at the hub where I assume High tensile would have to be used.

Hope this is all the info I need to tell you all.

I suppose 8.8 quality will do... the rims are only 8 mm thick adn the bolt size is M12 or M14 ??

IMHO 99% of bolts supplied today in farm supply / steel suppliers are 8.8 grade which is high tensile. In fact, I don't think I have ever seen a mild steel bolt with the 4.6 rating.

i used to know...

anyways, thermically zinc coated bolts are allways 4.6.. due to the heat of the zinc bath.
electrolythic zinc coated bolts are allways 8.8 or higher: they didn't get heated so much so the structure properties of forged/cold formed steel are kept.

Has anyone seen any of the Chinese Futon tractors? They are styled like the CNH.

The lowest grade is 4.6, next comes grade 8.8 and finally, the highest grade is 12.9.

The first number represents the ultimate tensile strength of the bolt, 400 Mpa, 800 Mpa or 1200 Mpa respectively. Mpa = N/mm2.

The second number represents the point at which the bolt will permanently stretch. (Officially, the 0.2% proof load stress). A 4.6 bolt permanently stretches at 60% of its ultimate, an 8.8 at 80% and a 12.9 at 90 %.

I'm not a computer freak, just poor,ordinary SAME driver

BTW, you forgot 5.8 quality bolts.

Posting pictures on Zetorworld is not easy....however there are photos and specs at http://www.tractor-world.com/products/foton-tractors-02.htm

SAME tractors are very popular in Ireland. A lot of the market gardeners around the Dublin area liked them. There are a couple near me but no SAME dealer that I know of. Nowadays, I suppose you have to buy a Deutz - the SAME/Deutz/Lamborghini tractors are all one now anyway.

Re 5.8, yes, you are correct.
