Charging Issue

Hey guys,
Bear with me.
I've read all the previous forms about the charging issues. My problem is I can't seem to get power to my 'idiot' light. It should be coming straight from the ignition (before starting) correct? Even if there is a problem in the circuit further down I should still be able to get power (testing via. grounding).

...Turns out I had a chewed wire.

Glad you found it. It'll drive you crazy for sure. I had one on my AC unit. Took me hours to trace it.
