When I pushed my clutch today, the tractor still "nugged" forward. Afterwards, I couldnt get it ingo any gears. Just crunching. Do I have to split the whole tractor? Or is it possible to fix it from the outside?

what does the clutch feel like when you push it can you feel resistance?

i to have a 6748. love it.

If it's a change of clutch you will have to split.
Straight forward, use a good friend with basic mechanical skills.
take photos if you are unsure. Should take a whole day.
i normally do dismantle on a saturday and put it back together on a sunday. takes the hard work out of it.
i may be able to send a pdf of how to do it if you get stuck.
be lucky

If it's the butress caps will the pdal be as it uses to push down?
I had a little look in the inspection hole today. But didn't see anything wrong in the first place. What should I look for?

Hi,

The pedal will feel almost the same as usual, maybe a little less pressure.
Through the side plate you will see 6 levers. The 3 for the main drive are the ones with the long bolts. They pivot on a "top hat" shaped cap. The rim around the boottom of the caps break off.

It's a broken lever/finger. It's splitted outside of the hole to the bolt, and from the hole and downwards. Is it possible to take them out the inspection hole, or do I have to weld it through the hole?

I saw why it's broken. The washer between the levers and the nuts ar made like an axe. Why? Could I replace it witha a regular washer to prevent this splitting?

Hi

I've never had one out through the side. All that is holding it in, after you remove the 2 nuts is a return spring on the inner end of the lever and a guide pin. If you can lever the spring up you should be able to hook it off the guide pin. You'll have to let the pedal adjustment off so that you've got room to get it out. If it doesn't look easy, then it doesn't take long to split the tractor.
The "axe" shaped washer is there to allow the lever to pivot freely. The parts are cheap so replace, don't repair.

Thanks for the advice. But it's about minus 20 degrees celsius in the soutthernnorway, and snow. I don't have the time to split the tractor now. And it wasn't very easy to get the it out the inspectionhole. It was easier to get the mig-welder inside. I welded it, and the clutch is better than for many years. We'll wait for the summer end maybe split it then......
