My 3340 started something strange yesterday and I wonder if it means I'll have a problem soon.
Just about every time I engage the clutch, the friction point changes. Some times the clutch engages close to the floor and some times it engages in the 'normal' position, which is almost all the way out. Some times it engages in between. So far it hasn't affected functionality at all. Both the clutch master and slave cylinders seem to be ok and the brake fluid level is still high.
Has anyone ever had this happen? Am I going to have clutch problems soon?
I hope it keeps that way... I was thinking if my short answer made sense: Maybe it does, but i wanted to add one thing more:
Have you inspected the clutch cylinder from the outside, or did you lift the dust boot ? If you lift the dust boot and no brake fluid comes down on you, the clutch shaft greasing should have been the trick. If there is fluid behind the dust boot, you had luck this time but the master cylinder may be lurking to give up...
