This question is related to my reverser troubles. How much play up and down, side to side is acceptable (normal) on the input shaft? I don't see any evident problems with bearing(s) or wear other than the bronze washer(s) discussed in the other thread. Play seems excessive though.
play on the clutch end (by tilting the shaft), where it normally sits in the pilot bearing inside the flywheel ? or axial play by racking it back and forth, or radial play by pulling it up and down ? Up and down and back and forth is not how its supposed to be.
Being able to tilt the front end of the shaft a centimeter isnt that bad, its aligned in the pilot bearing inside the flywheel, and the outer hollow shaft sits on this wheel drive shaft with a needle bearing.
