HI, GUYS! I HAVE A 3545 THAT I JUST BOUGHT, BUT IT TAKES AGES TO START WHEN ITS COLD:sneaky: I CANT FIND A HEATER OR A COLD START BUTTON ANYWERE !:( EASY START SPRAY WORKS BUT I WOULD RATHER NOT USE IT BECAUSE IT DAMAGES THE VALVES??? IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN ADJUST TO GIVE MORE FUEL WHEN STARTING?:sneaky:

Have you found the cold start button ?

It's on the front part of the fuel pump, little round 6mm button on the side of a hexagonal nut. Sometimes this nut runs loose and the cold start button turns to the engine where you cant see it.

I HAVE FOUND A BIG NUT, LOOKS LIKE 20MM SPANNER SIZE? CANT SEE A BUTTON ON IT ANYWERE! ONLY A LITTLE ROUND SHAPE ON THE SIDE OF THE NUT, LIKE SOMETHING HAS FALLEN OFF? OR STUCK INSIDE?

I cant tell you that from here... it must be a round button of about 5 or 6mm diameter, sticking out 5mm and 2 mm when it is pushed in.

See what happens if you spray it with MoS[sub]2[/] or WD40 and grab the end of it with pliers and try to pull it out ?

THANKS RENZE!!!;) THE BUTTON WAS STUCK SOLID INSIDE THE NUT!!:censored: LOKS LIKE SOMEONE (NOT ME) HIT THE BUTON IN WITH A HAMMER!!69) I HAD TO PUNCH IT OUT FROM THE OTHER SIDE WITH A BIG NAIL!!:sneaky: BUT NOW IT WORKS AND I CAN HEAR A CLICK WHEN I PUSH IT IN:) BUT THE TRACTOR STILL WONT START LIKE IT SHOULD CAN I ADJUST THE NUT???? WHICH WAY???? HOW FAR????

You have to engage hand throttle first, so you hear a click and the button stays in engaged position. As soon as theengine is running it pops out again.

THANKS RENZE!!!!;) TRACTOR NOW STARTS FIRST TIME WITH A BIG CLOUD OF BLACK SMOKE!!:D (BLACK SMOKE IS GOOD SMOKE!!)

Hi i was wondering if the same can apply to a 6211/7245 refarding the location of a cold start. I would be grateful if you could give a description of where it is and even better a picture to help me find it. The manual doesnt mention it.

gw, I had a similar problem finding the button on my 7245 - simple answer is there isn't one - it's automatic. Now I just plug in the heater, prime it just before I turn it over and it fires up like a charm.

The only thing I did find was that the engine seemed to run at higher revs for an extended period of time - it may just have been because it was taking a long time to warm up (my temeprature gauge is broken so can't be sure).

I have a zetor 4718 and the cold start button wont stay clicked in, the throttle is opened and it never had this problem but it wont just stay clicked in please help

The fuel rack is stuck so it wont run against the cold start despite the governor spring pushing it. Search this forum with the Google box upper left, to find detailed descriptions on how to free a fuel pump. im not gonna type again, my keyboard sticks and requires a hammer to punch in a letter.
