Cold start on Zetor 5718

has anyone got any suggestions or information regarding the cold start on the injection pump of the zetor 5718. Battery is flattened very quickly before starting. Will start with assistance off another battery.

I use the cold start button on the injector pump - always - even on a warm day. With the hand throttle at half to three quarters, and a good battery, my 5718 always starts after 4 or 5 seconds. Mind you my dynamo doesn't work so I run total loss electrics and just charge my battery regularly!

Hello.I`m new to this forum.I have the same problem with the same tractor.It`s a Zetor 6718.I`ve read somewere that this tractor uses 24 volt for starting up and 12 volt for the rest of time.Is that true?It has space for two batteries under the cab but I tried to start with only one (no connection wire for the second).I`m looking for any informations on this tractor as I don`t know anyting about them.If someone has any user manuals or maintenance manuals I would greatly appreciate any help .I managed to tow start but I can not select any other gear (clutch problem???)Please help me.

Only the Crystal range had 24 V starting optional.
