correct engine oil level

hi all,im in New Zealand and have just bought a 6745,could someone please tell me the correct amount of engine oil ,as i am unable to use the drain plug it has been rounded almost.I inserted a wee hose in where the dipstick is and drained it that way but only got 3 litres of oil,i have now put 5 litres in,is that enough???

HI

Your engine should hold about 12 litres of oil . Try welding a nut onto the drain plug to undo it. You may be able to suck the oil out better if you remove the oil filter housing.
