Hi all,

The lifts om my Crystal are playing up, I have no position control, i.e. lifts are either fully up or fully down. No middle ground.

Also, when lifts are up, the relief valve is blowing off.

I removed the lift cover & the 2 steel shock absorber plates mounted on the rear end of the diff housing are cracked.

Looks like the lift cylinder is extending too far ?

Any ideas ?

It sounds as though the linkage for the control valves has come loose. Replace the 2 spring plates immediatly. If you don't you run the risk of the ram pushing the entire back end out of the final drive housing. Its diffficult to suggest what to do without more details, but check all the internal linkages, to make sure none have come off their pins or worn through and that any adjusting screws are still tight with their lock nuts tight as well.
failing that you will have to get a workshop manual or professional help .
