question Decompression lever function? Zetor 3511

This is the decompression function. Mainly used when starting the engine in cold weather.
I have never used this function. I only use the "cold start button" on the fuel pump (shown as 62 in attached drawing)
Starts every time, in all temperatures.
If your battery is bad/low, you can consider using the decompression to ease the start process.

Decompression lever will be usefull for starting engine by hand without a electrical starter. Then you need the decompression.

Or with 40 weight summer oil in it, in winter, with the batteries they had 60 years ago.

I once had a dead battery, with lifted valves it could make enough speed to start the engine on flywheel inertia.
