I would recommend going ahead and changing fuel lines and clamps first.  Not expensive and definitely eliminates fuel line pin holes that arent readily obvious to the naked eye.  If budget allows install aftermarket electric fuel pump.  eliminates pin hole leaks in mech fuel pump.  Third,  remove pick up tubes from tank and install screens on end of longest tube in tank.  be sure to hook up supply to longest tube and return to shortest.  These quick fixes all but eliminated my fuel problems.
