Emergency stop

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could help me?
My father and myself are currently restoring my late granda's zetor 3511.
He bought the tractor roughly 44 years ago.
when dismantling the tractor we came across an emergency stop pull cord. We are sure is it wasn't in use as it didn't seem to connected to anywhere.
Does anyone know where it connects to as we would prefer it to be in use.

It was connected to either the valve lifter or the radiator shutter.
