Hi, i have been told mike may be able to help identify a engine for me , or anybody else out there , it is a 6211 d reg tractor thats had a second hand engine fitted ,its gold like a 5718 or a 6911 4 cylinder so not the right one and i need parts but dont know what it is , the number on the engine is X 248971 any help would be great .
THANKS MARTIN

is there a number cast in the block that starts with 5901, 5501 or something like that ? thats the engine type. 5501 engine is fitted in 5511 and 5711, 5911 was fitted later.
5501 engine had 95mm bore, 5901 has 100mm bore.

Whats the cylinder head bolt size ? M16 or M14 ? If its M14 it is definately a 5501 engine.

Zetor engines can be identified by the first 4 digits of the engine number ie 7201 Zetor 7211/7245

Hi guys the number cast in the block is X248971 i cant look at the numbers on the bonnet as its a none origonal engine .

The engine type & serial number is stamped above the starter motor on the rear top edge of the block just below number 4 head. Behind the injection pump there is a casting number cast in the side of the block what is this number?
Can you give the injection pump number? should start PP4
