Zetors HSX 140, 2x 8111. CNH 895, MF50B. Heap of machinery.
There's a 8111 1990 coming up for sale soon in an executor sale. The tractor has been sitting in a shed untouched since 2017. I went to see and I was allowed to start and drive it. Amazingly it only needed a fresh battery and pump the diesel and it started up after 2 turns. It has no brakes as the slave cylinders are stuck out and the fluid just pour out the back when I tried filling the tank. No electrics work except one headlight.

But what I noticed was when it was ticking over, the oil pressure clock on the dash was rising and falling the whole time. It would go up to 5 when driving it on and fall back to 1 when I left it ticking over. It's probably in bad need of an oil change, or is that a sign of something else?

It's starting very easy now, only needs a sniff of the battery and it's away.

Sounds for me like a seal is broken or in the worst case, wear and tear. 🤷‍♂️

She's going like a clock, pity if it needs an operation. It's 40k box, I might take the engine out and just use the backend and cab and just fit in another engine.
