Engine oil

Hey all,, just got my 12245 engine rebuilt after seizing....

Anyone know how much oil these 6 cyl sumps hold? I dont want to take any chances

12045 holds 19 litres. I'm also told by a Zetor mechanic to change the oil in the injector pump as often as I change the engine oil.

How much oil does injector pump take??

Do ya just fill to the top?

There's a check plug on the side of the pump. Fill to just over that. You fill from the top and it fills the governor as well.

the 12245 has the newer style pump, lubed by engine oil, just like the smaller models from the 80s onwards.

It is lubed from the engine , but still has and oil cap on top

As it's quite a lot newer don't take the 19 litres as certain.
