I have a 7341 and the oil cooler started to let water into the oil with 1900hrs on the clock. I got a new one from my main dealer this failed after 40hrs of light work, the 2nd replacement has failed after 16 hours. Has anybody had the same problem with oil coolers ? Thanks Lenny D.

look further than the oil cooler, i'd say... ???

cant put my finger on that one...

Oh wait, how much engine oil pressure do you have ? the four cylinder engines had a pressure regulator. They sometimes get stuck, usually it leads to too low oil pressure (and bearing damage after a while) but yours may have gotten stuck in the closed position, resulting in excessive oil pressure on the oil cooler.
If you had done hard work, the oil would have been thinner, resulting in lower oil pressure... ;)

If it was excessive oil pressure would the oil not get into the water?
I must get the oil pressure checked. Thanks

Yes, the other way around would be more logical, now you say so.. But if already 3 oil coolers broke, you should look beyond the oil cooler i think...

I have the cooler bypassed. Do any other model of zetor have the same oil cooler? They are made by Modine in USA. Do the proxima have the same oil cooler?
