I've just bought an 8045 as well .
When allowed I'd like to know more about operating it . The levers and button and switches etc .

Gday , the small button on the floor to the left of the seat , is that 2wd x 4wd and if so which position is 4wd please ???
I'm guessing the small pedal to the left of the accelerator pedal is the difflock ?????
The reverse lever and the 4 speed lever are very floppy , is that normal ??

Yes the small button on your hand on the floor behind the seat is 2/4wd. Out your in 4wd push in back in 2wd.
Yes the small pedal is diff.
No the the 4 speed gearstick shouldn't be falling around. They often will hit the mudguards when they are worn. My guess is the spring are broken or very worn out under the nut under where the gearstick is connected.

Thats only the engines id-plate. Do you find some other inside the cab eg.?
You should also find a year and month in your gearbox housing, outside on the left or right side. Thats the date the housing is made.

You can find a year date on the sump housing on the left side. You'll also find a year stamped on the back rims between the stud holes. There should be a VIN plate under the dash and a plate on the cab frame. All these places should have a year stamped.

This is my 2 Zetors
I like the cab on your 8045, It would make an old tractor look very modern.

The cab is great .
Unfortunately the rhs door must have broken at some stage and a fixed glass door has been fitted
The door on the lhs has no glass atm

Sorry, that's fixed glass window

My 5245 has the same style cab
No your 5245 has what I would call as a cab off an 8111 type tractor. We had a discussion about those style cabs on this group only lately. They were never brought into this country with that style cab, we only got the standard square original cabs fitted to them.

I'm in the Republic of Ireland.

What country are you in?

I was surprised he had to ask?

Why would you be surprised i had to ask

Because it's on my profile banner, where I'm from and it comes up every time I answer. And so far I have answered 7 times now. I also answer lots more questions here, I'm sure you read.

... not every one is straight from start familiar with the use of a forum site or especially our site here. ;)
Let him a little bit time to read and learn to use it.

On some devices the view can be others, eg. personal computer vs. mobile device

Fair enough. My apologies, I didn't mean to offend. but I am very proactive on this forum, same as yourself Joachim. And I read lots of other posts on here too. Not just the new questions.
