Hi
I have been to a tractordealer and I am interested in a Zetor 7245.
It has just about 1500 hrs running time and looks good. I asked the dealer how front axle diff works and he could not tell me. Anyone who can give a short explanation.
Tips to look up before I buy that tractor are welcome!
Would be glad to have advice!
I have a 7245 bought new in 92. It has completed 3500 hrs with load fitted.
I have done 1 clutch and this is perhaps the weak point of the tractor. The crosh shaft for the clutch has a grease nipple either side of the gearbox and if it is not greased regulary enough it binds ever so slightly. This doesn't relaease the thrust bearing completely so if it keeps running, the bearing will fail. This is turn will destroy the clutch fingers and then she will not stop.
Keep the front end pivot well greased and ensure brake fluid is kept fresh or brake / clutch trouble will come.
