how do I put the glow plug on as I just bought the tractor zetor 6245 and no manual with it, if anyone has an idea I WOULD APPRECIATE IT thanks paul

zetor ur1 has no glow plug, but it has a Cold start Device built in to the fuelpump. you must put hand throttle to full Power at start up. as soon as engine starts you take Power Down to idle.

the older ones have a button to push in on the front of the injection pump....only works when the hand throttle is set to full.

same principle as the simms injection pumps on the fordson major or the old 70 horse david browns

6245 does not have a button its Automatic when you put throttle to full. from year 1985 all zetor has Automatic Cold start.

So the very first 62 and 7211 did have the older pump ? AFAIK the 12 series came in 1984..

I have rebuilt a 4340 very much the same as 6245 using the standard inlet pipe 10-7701-1514 and the glow-plug relay 10-6245-5728. The glow-plug fits in the manifold directly and it solved all my cold start problems and work super down to minus 25. 6245 was delivered into some countries with a standard glow-plug arrangement. Will try to take some pictures showing how I solved the problem. Electrical drawing how to connect the relay is to be found in the spare part list for 4340.

this Equipment is never fitted in Norwegian models. must be a optional for siberian temperatures. Renze the 2 series were delivered from 1st of januay 1985, the 0 series went out of Production in desember 1984, so 84 is the last year they were produced. no 2 series has the old style pump.

Thank you, i also thought they started fitting them on the 12 series, but didnt know they changed series at the end of the year and therefor from 1985 onwards...

we had a 6245 1985 the first model With the New pump. the self lubricatng pump With Automatic Cold start, more hydraulick force, New fitting of the hydraulick lift arms, and improvment i cab Comforts where the main sales argument of the2 series.

I changed the 20l oil pump of our 1986 5245 for a 32 liter pump, to make the front loader work at acceptable speed... I will put one on my 5718 too, when i'm restoring it...

My 5718 runs only 100 hours a year, mostly bale collecting and manure spreading for the man i rent a house and a workshop, and sometimes earthmoving with 10-12 ton dumpers.. Then tree cutting with the manbasket on the frontloader to provide firewood for the workshop, and all the lifting jobs around the workshop... But i take the 3011 for most of the jobs, even when transporting soil through the city with a 6 ton trailer, it uses only 2 liter an hour :D :D

i plan to change the hydraulic pump on my 6340 wich is 40 l pr minute. to a proxima one wich is 50 l pr min. to speed up loader a bit.
