Dear All
I am new to this forum and I joined hoping to gain wealth of information from the experienced members.
I am in Lesotho and just bought a used 12245 ZTS, sold in South Africa as Zahow ZTS 12245 (with Z8102.12 engine). The tractor engine has been dismantled and some parts need replacing or reworked. The crankshaft is scored on one conrod journals but can be reused once ground. My machining shop does not have info on Zetor engines and wants me make a decision...I guess he doesn't want to take any responsibility should something go wrong. I am awaiting a workshop manual bought on eBay, which seems to be taking forever.
From the parts list suitable for this engine, I see the following journal bearings: STD, O.25, 0.50, 0.75 and 1.00 can be used.
Can you guys advise on what can be done by the machining shop to get this crankshaft usable again.
Your advices will be highly be appreciated.
