hello Hello to all, My new to me 3340

Hello and welcome Brad! :)

Are you sure the manufacturing date is 1999 ? I ask because already in 1998 the newer Zetor Super series was manufactured.

I have a 3340 with a Cab and checking the dates on the motor and transmission with some stickers I believe it is a 1999 MFD.
The lowest it could be is 1998, but there is a label indicating its a 1999.
I was told it was a 1995 but the dates on it are newer.
Maybe they had some old casting and parts that came in ( 1999 ) and they built a few of these older models.

Hi guys,

just tell me (i you feel better over a pm) the engine-ID and the chassis-ID

and i can take a look at my serial number list.

Also have every Zetor on left outside at gear box th month and year of its production - so you will find it at middel, left side on gearbox:

and on the upper side from upper hydraulic :

So its easy to clear what year of production they are. :)

Dont trust stickers or type plates - the only real ones are the month/year at gearbox housing left side and upper hydraulics housing + the two serial numbers for chassis and enginge hammered into the engine block or chassis.
Stickers and nameplates are too easy to manipulate. :)

It is also possible that Zetor continued to build the "older" models 3320 to 7340

or after face lift models like

with the BK 6245 cab.

for a while in parallel with the then new Super model series 3321 to 7341

and Major

for certain markets. I don't want to rule that out, as Zetor had done something like that before.

So that would make my Zetor 3340 to be 1998.
The engine is a 5203 and indicates to be 1999.

Engine Numbers: 5202 0102 3
3 9 99
Serial #: 8528
Engine Model: Z5203

Left side Transmission Casting Numbers are: Zetor 12 10 98
So then may be Dec.10, 1998 or 12 Oct. 1998

Yes, Zetor continued to build 3320-7340 beyond 98., side by side with Super series. UR I(3320-7340) as you know was huge success, way too popular to have its production halted, it was produced from 92-2006. Had a few upgrades(Carraro FWD from 1997.-, hydraulic pump moved from rear differential to the engine, new injection molded plastic bonnet as you see Major from 2001.). Just look Poland and Croatian tractor forums and used tractor market, you'll see a lot of Major models like on your last two photos. Last great Zetor series/model IMHO.
