I have just purchased a zetor 8045 it starts first time and the engine runs well but when I put it into gear it will move but only just any slight incline it will come to a halt it is still in gear and the engine is revving but no forward motion it is doing this in low and high range and also in reverse any help would be appreciated as this is my first tractor.

Don't know much about the UR2 range of tractors but it sounds like the clutch might be slipping due to it being worn

theres a little lever undr the steering wheel marked with a hare and tortoise... its a two speed change on the move device , have you tried this in both settings. its an epicyclic gear , sometimes needs adjustment. u need a workshop manual for the procedure.

but its more likely to be the main transmission clutch , needs to split the tractor to do it , ive seen a bloke (who had obviously done a few ) do one in a morning

I know this seems simple but have you got enough oil in the gearbox and of the correct grade, needs to be 80-90w gearoil and needs to be full because it's basically a oil driven gearbox and a slight incline will cause the working oil level to be lower than it needs to operate unless it's at the correct level
