Help I need to know how to remove the PTO spline from the back of my 8011 as I have managed to shatter it, I know it's possible as I know where the 1000 spline is kept.

There should be a heavy circlip around the shaft of the pto just use the correct pliers. This keeps a nut locked into the housing of the pto clutch pack so just open the nut and out comes the shaft. Snap the shaft of one over twenties years ago and I believe this is how I got it out. 8045 long long gone.

Its a very thin wire circlip , plain wire with a small bend on the end that clips into a hole, The nut underneath is castellated and is usually removed with a pair of wrenches included with the tractor when new, one slips into the nut and the other holds the shaft.
When refitting the circlip it is essential that the plain end is trailing the direction of rotation otherwise the first bit of grass etc will remove it for you.

otherwise the first bit of grass etc will remove it for you.

Which is why so many of zetor crystals had the pto shaft and castle nut welded in.

I don't have any special spanners but I'm guessing I can improvise.

Ok so I removed it easily enough but the wire type cerclip seems to be in back to front to what u guys say, although I very very much doubt it has been removed since new, when I put it back in should I swap it around or leave it the way it was since it been like that for many many years?

Yes it has been in around the wrong way for years in that case
