HELP: Zetor 5340 gearbox removal

Trying to remove gearbox from Zetor 5340 but the gearbox will not part from rear axle. Removed PTO shaft but the PTO gears are unable to drop out.

Do we need to remove the cab or the pinion wheel?

Any help gladly appreciated as we are really stumped!!

Hi

I'm assuming you've got the box loose. There are 2 pins under the back gear on the top shaft. Slide the gear fully forwards or back (can't remember which way) and remove the 2 loose pins.

Also, did you remove the PTO gear shifter that engages the ground speed PTO ?

The pinion and its bearings are machined into the transmission. Use exactly the right gasket thickness when mounting the gearbox back...
