Hello,

i buy a Zetor 5011 and I repair the Motor:
- new adjusted nosles (160 Bar)
- new valves
...
compression seems to be fine, the engine will start just fine.

But it makes a lot of black smoke, so I think its to many fuel adjusted on the pump. ???

How can i decrease the fuel on a Zetor 5011 injektor pump?

regards

Its 10 years ago i had the 5245 pump open. I think when you take the back cover off, its the highest nut with 22mm spanner size. Loosen it and screw the flathead screwdriver slotted stud in a turn.

If you write down which bolt you screwed how many times, you can allways go back. First time i tried, i loosened the governor spring so it wouldnt rev over 1000rpm. Allways write down what you do ;)

Hello Renze,

what you mean with "take the back cover off" ?

On the back side from fuel pump is no cover to take off. Did you mean the cover on top, holded with 4 scroubs?

Or can you make a photo? :)

regards

Did you mean it so: https://zetorworld.com/index.php?threads/horsepower-increase.524/

I have made a pic for better understanding, you know iam from germany... ;)

Its so right? :
srew in = more fuel = more black smoke = more power
screw out = less fuel = less black smoke = less power

Regards

No - definitly no. The engine runs in low upm like it should. So, it has nothing to do with the coldstart I think.

Ahh we are talking about the fuel pump with manual cold start button.

The cold start button should be secured with a low locknut. when you push it, a small pin moves away do it falls in a hole in the fuel control rod so the control rod can move a few mm further.

This mechanism only allows the control rod to temporary give more fuel, it does not adjust the injection timing.

On my 3011 the cold start button was stuck too Checheck that.

To be honest this governor looks different than the 3011/4712 type AND the 5245 type. Is the cold start button locked with a locknut ?

Good morning...

The cold start pin is ok, i can push it in with full throttle and it pop out when I get back with fuel throttle. That point is ok.

The Engine runs like it should - but I see black smoke, so I think its to many fuel from the injector pump.

Is there realy no way to reduce fuel at every upm so that I can reduce the black smoke? Other peopel ask for more power and you tell that he has to adjust a screw ... but who?

On the 3011 and 4712 (both have the same pump model) the fuel setting was adjusted by the cold start button:

the head can swivel on the threaded tube, and the threaded tube is secured against the pump body with a low nut. Undo the nut, then screw the threaded tube into the fuel pump body and secure the locknut again, then turn the cold start button back to where you can push it. Even if the governor is slightly different, if it has the manual cold start button it must be the max fuel adjustment too.

Yes, I think I can see it and as you say I should do this:

If I screw in I'll increase the fuel and if I it screw out I will decrease it - is it also right? If so, I can now reduce the fuel to try to reduce black smoke... :)

Thank you Renze to clearify this.

Ha ...

... thanks. It was a long way to understand, but now its clear. :)

Sorry i didnt read it properly on the cellphone during lunch break: If you screw it in you decrease fuel , screwing out is increase of fuel.
