hyd problems on 6340

Changed filter and cleaned the screen on a 6340 now , nothing hyds works , 3 point and front end loader where weak, now nothing.Is there more than one reservoir for hyd fluid .

the piece of flex hose in the suction line probably lets air in. it might kill your pump if you keep using it that way.

Hi,

You'll have to bleed the pump to get the air out. To do this, start the tractor and run at tickover, loosen the fitting on top of the pump a little. Air should bubble out. If not you may have to lever the pipe sideways to break the seal. Be ready to tighten the union or stop the tractor. The oil shouldn't squirt out in your face !
Sounds like your pump is getting worn .
