Hi again!
I have a Zetor 8011 ~1974.

I also have problem with the Hydraulic .
I have a lifting device in the front connected to the hydraulic in the rear behind the cabin.
Sometimes it works fine and then suddenly it does not work at all.
I think that the hydraulic pump is not running.
(All descriptions of left and right is if I'm standing behind the tractor.)

There is a "lever" below the cabin to the left, of the gear box.

1.)Is this for the hydraulic pump? Should it be in forward or backward position when the hydraulic pump should work?

2.) Earlier I used the lever right of the driver seat to start the hydraulic pump. Shouldn't this be enough?
3.)The three containers in the same picture above. Are those filter containers? How often do I need to change these?

4.)What is this "screw" behind the driver seat used to?

5.)Where can I find the Hydraulic pump?

Best regards, Hans, Sweden

The 3 "cans" are filters, the top one filters the oil that returns from the TA pump and the 2 bottom ones filter all the oil that is sucked into the hyd pump, which you can see behind the ventilation cover containing the pump gearstick. It can be replaced easily through the hole when the cover is removed.
If the pump is getting worn you will need the gearbox oil to be up to the level on the dipstick which is located on the filler cap situated on the floor between the gearsticks or it may not pump when you first start. If you get this problem, first wash the filters, if the gearbox is full face the tractor up a slope and the oil wont leak when you remove the caps. They have gauze elements and the fine one should be nearest the pump. Then face the tractor down a slope if the pump still doesn't work to let gravity prime the pump.
The screw behind the seat is a flow control.
Keep it screwed right out. The book says you should use it when ploughing, but we never touch it with any of ours.
The lever next to the handbrake on the cab floor is to put the PTO in gear only. You should move it when the engine is stopped
I cant remember which way the hyd pump gearlever works, I suggest you run the engine very slowly and see which way it grates when you move it. Again it should be shifted in when the engine is stopped. We never put ours out of gear.
Hope this helps, Dave

Hans,

DaveP has given useful info in the previous post and helped me solve the problem on my Crystal as you are having on yours.

Ref "I have a Zetor 8011 ~1974. I also have problem with the Hydraulic . I have a lifting device in the front connected to the hydraulic in the rear behind the cabin. Sometimes it works fine and then suddenly it does not work at all. I think that the hydraulic pump is not running."

The problem you have is airlocking. The pump is running but unfortunately it is not pumping anything! I fix mine by loosening the banjo bolt on the hydraulic pipe on the rear axle housing on the left hand side as you stand behind the tractor. This is the feed pipe for the QD (Quick Disconnects).

It airlocks because the hydraulic pump needs replacing. When cold my hydraulics work perfectly. When hot, power goes out of them. How does yours behave?

hi hans
we have a 8011 that was at that . it would airlock and we would have to blead system . we change hydraulic pump and never looked back . the pump is on left had side just back from fly wheel its an easy fix . we were able to get to a pump with a higher flow rate . sb

want there something on the crytals about putting more oil in and they wouldnt air lock? ???

sure i read it sumwhere

Yes you can Matthew, but you run the risk of rear end seals leaking oil onto the brakes. New pumps arn't big bucks and are easy and quick to fit.
