After being freshly equiped with a replacement hitch from a Zetor Crystal 12011, my 8011 has recently shifted a lot of heavy material (concrete, sand, stone) in my 2m hydraulic power box.
Now another problem has emerged. Since I've had the tractor, there has always been a small leak of hydraulic oil somewhere on the back end of ther tractor. It was never enough to get concerned about; a nuisance but one you could live with. The small leak has now got serious and will have to be repaired.
I removed the seat (BTW that thing weighs over 50kg!!!) and the floor panels and power washed the back end of the tractor to removed the dirt and grime and mud.
The good news is that I can see where the oil is leaking....the bad news is that it is in the hydraulic control unit to your right as you would sit in the cab. This unit contains the lift arms lift/lower lever and and a spool valve.
I've looked at it and cannot see how to access it or open it. It might be possible to access the inside from the RHS mudguard but I'm not sure.
I'd appreciate andy help or advice from anyone who has delved in here before.
Hi Tom.I have never had to go inside my Crystal, but on our 6748 we changed the top cover for a 6945 one and noticed that there is a rubber O ring between the top cover and the axle casing where the oil goes to the lift ram.If your lift arms stay up for a few minutes or more with a load on when you turn off the engine you may only need a new O ring!!!
