This is on a 5211---Other positions do nothing----to change to other lever positions engine must be killed--grinds with engine running..Thoughts please..Thanks

Had linkage aloose yesterday-worked the rod underneath by hand numerous times just to be sure it is free--it is free and the "L" bracket is free on the shaft..cable is free and works as it should..no wear visible.
