hydraulic problem

new to the site have a zetor 6245
hydraulics on life and front loader will only work when pto is on
how is this fixed or sorted any help would be appreciated

Hi Michael.
I am probably not the most qualified to answer this as I have nay just bought my first Zetor (6245 like yours). I am not sure if you are aware that the hydraulic pump runs off the pto shaft? The pto leaver has 4 positions, the first, all the way forward is hydraulic pump only, the second, one notch to the rear of the tractor is pump and pto (direct engine drive) the third is neutral, and the fourth, all the way to the rear, is pto only ( ground drive) if you are not able to disengage the pto and still have hydraulics then I would be looking towards the selector mechanism.
Sorry I can't help much more than that. I do have the owners manual and the workshop manual and would suggest that if you don't have either manual get the owners manual first as it is surprisingly comprehensive whereas the workshop manual is aimed at experienced tractor mechanics.
