Hi my dog eats fast food.
I think your idea was great , and wish I thought of before I cut the pipe , which we left too short to do a repair job . Of course I bought the replacement pipe from
Zetor and was following the instructions which said "cut out the old pipe" ah well ......
Any way the good
news is , we managed to do the job tonight without removing the diff, by using a oxy torch to heat up the pipe and
help bend into place , everything seems ok , we did the flanges on the end of the pipe and all looks good . but was a tricky job... I figure if does not work well it cost me a new pipe and a couple of hours work and next time we take out the diff
Anyway tomorrow is the real test when I put everything back together and see what happens , hopefully the seals hold and I have hydraulics again -watch this space ....
Just for your info what created this whole problem was , some time in the past someone had repaired the diff for some reason and used bolts to put it back together instead of rivets , so the head of the bolts had stuck out about two mill too far which hit the pressure pipe and done the damage .... This time around we ensured the pipe was bent back a bit so would miss the bolt head as the diff spins around
