Hi,

I got a Zetor 6211 yesterday the fuel flow became intermittent i.e. when I hand pump to pressurise the fuel system the tractor starts up and runs for a few seconds sometimes up to a minute then simply cuts out. I cracked open all the injectors and tried to see If there is any air in the lines, but nothing. Then I noticed that when I hand pump the fuel flows fine for a few seconds then stops and as I keep pumping for a few more seconds the fuel starts flowing again. It looks like the fuel pressurised and looses pressure all the time.
Any help will be appreciated.

Did you check that the air hole in the cap is not blocked, also the that you have enough fuel in the tank, it needs to be at least 1/4 filled to start easy also there is a filter in the tank at the bottom of the gauge and if that's blocked diesel won't come out.

I am going to go through all all of the causes you mentioned and there is truth there, the flowing of stopping of diesel while pumping the hand pump reflects to everything you said. I will go through it on Saturday and come back with how I fixed or nor fixed it! LOL

If you were to take off the pipe from the hand pump and suck the pipe yourself, it would need air hole in the cap to keep flowing otherwise you would have a vacuum.
