I just bought a Zetor 12145 with a loader. Its replacing an Oliver 77 ( what an upgrade:)) This is the first Zetor I have owned, are they reliable? I live in ND so do they start well in the cold? I'm excited but a little nervous, should I be?

Congrats on you purchase Scott K! A Zetor 12145 with loader is a very useful tractor - 120HP from the six pot engine - you'll enjoy starting her up and just listening to that engine. You have just got a lot of tractor for your money - a well made, flat floor, spacious cab, 16F/8R transmission, torque splitter, hydraulic spool valve, hydraulic PTO, air compressor and air brakes for trailer...

If she has done a lot of heavy loader work there may be wear in the front axle kingpin.

Because the Zetor Crystals use direct fuel injection, there is no pre-heating required. Once your batteries are good and your electrical connections are sound, you will not have any problems starting.

You didn't say how many hours this tractor has done. Reliability is excellent once you maintain properly. The original seals and hoses are not of the best quality as are the brake and clutch master cylinders.

Happy Zetoring!

my uncle owned a good few of them in his time.there the best tractor ever for pulling loads!leaves johndeere and valtra sitting.......................but you may have a few problems with leaks! nothing comes close to the sound out of that engine!

Expect to have hours of hard work behind the wheel with proper maintenance!
