Looking for Canadian ZETOR Dealer so I can order parts

I live near Montreal Quebec Canada and it sure seems many ZETOR dealers have closed shop in recent months. Not sure why, perhaps some of you could shed some light.

I recently purchased a 1991 4wd 7745 with loader and snow blower. I went to top off the hydraulic oil and next thing I noticed was oil everywhere underneath.

I can see about 4 bolts missing from the hydraulic power lift pump covering area (my pump is in the differential housing as opposed to mounted on the engine).

I would need to find out the sizes of these bolts, o-rings, etc and
place an order. There is also a rubber plug missing on the bottom of the left hand 3pt hitch (where the tie rod off the lever from the brake mecanism enters).

Also missing the plastic left hand protective covering over the left hand brake cylinder.

Sure like to establish a Canadian connection so I could order future filters and canisters as well.

By the way, great site and many excellent reviews and "how-to" advice. Once I get parts required, I'll redo the hydraulic pump with new seals.

If anyone has a copy of the parts list for the hydraulic lift pump bottom cover that shows the size bolts, etc. I need, it would be much appreciated if I could get a copy.

Mike

The bolts for the plate under the diff housing that covers the oil pump:

size: quantity:
M10x55 1
M10x35 7
M10x40 1

Try getting in touch with the current Zetor importers for Canada. AZ Tractors in Bolton, Ontario.

You might also want to go over to www.agdealer.com and do a search under Zetor dealers to see what you come up with.

I'm about 4 hours east of you so my local dealer might not be of much use to you. There is a dealer southeast of Ottawa also. I thought there was a dealer in St Polycarpe?

You are right about Saint Polycarpe - but they no longer handle
Zetor . Also, two dealers in the Napierville area no longer handle Zetor. (Agdealer web site not up to date).

Brings up the question - what's happened (or happening) to ZETOR dealerships in Canada as other dealers I've tried to contact no longer handle.

I'd have no problem ordering parts online, just need a reputable parts distribution centre.

ALL I NEED IS SOMEONE THAT IS STILL IN THE ZETOR BUSINESS SO I CAN ORDER PARTS.

Good news ! I've solved some of my missing bolt problems on the
hydraulic pump assembly thanks to Tom!

Still missing sizes and bolts for holding the bottom 3pt hitch bracket onto differential - that is left bracket that has 3 or 4 bolts, that connects to differential right next to hydraulic pump cover and its located directly under drawbar pin.

Bolts look like they may be 20 m or so.

The other thing I did not realize (being a rookie) was I should use 80/90 gear oil for transmission and hydraulics. I put in hydraulic/transmission oil instead which is lighter and thus probably leaks more than the thicker grade.

Many thanks again for your replies.

Appreciate anyone with info on where I could order parts in Canada.

Mike-I think Canada has been going through what has been happening all over Europe. The Zetor factory had been in financial crisis for the last 2 or 3 years and were losing money on all the tractors they made.So they cut production right back and starved all the dealers of tractors to offer their customers.I think many have given up and changed to other franchises.
Now that the company has been bought by HTC things seem to be improving.Production is up,new models are appearing and quality looks good.So you may find that new dealers will be opening up soon as confidence improves;after all there are tens of thousands of customers just waiting to be looked after worldwide.
In the meantime... John Deere own a UK company that sells parts for all makes of tractor worldwide. They have a vast range of parts for Zetor. If you can find a Vapormatic stockist or a friendly JD dealer you may be able to find a way around the problem that way.Check out www.vapormatic.com and see what happens.

Also, HTC has ended contracts with many importers all around the world (the former state owned Motokov company was their market agent, and did a very poor job, also financial..)

HTC has appointed many new importers. Those have to get in touch with the old dealers. It was a deep cutting operation, but it had to eb done to make the sales network financially healthy.

try "Dan R. Equipment" in Plantagenet Ontario near Ottawa..tel: (613)673-5129. Thats where i get my parts for my 5011 Zetor ....

A little way away from Montreal, but I can heartily recommend Dave Beard at Beard's Farm Supply in Orillia - around 1 1/2 hours north of Toronto.

Dave has sold around 1,500 Zetors over (I think) 20 years or so and continues to be a dealer. I have just bought a 7245 from him and he is more than fair and very helpful. He runs the place with his son in law and they really focus on building a relationship with customers - recognizing that they will make a lot more money over time by making people happy than trying to get a few more bucks out of them.

I've had good luck and prompt shipping with these guys:

Dourobob,

Have you ever used Central East? I was under the impression that they only sold to delaers, not to consumers - has this now changed?

Andy

Hi
I haven't ordered directly but have gotten parts from these folks through a local repair shop near Peterborough. I also heard from Dominic S. Ferri at DSF Imports Ltd on a post about clutch parts for a 5245. He is in Mississauga - email ferrid@aol.com

Hope it helps
Bob
