When I have to lubricate the cardan shaft that drives the front axle of my 4340, it is impossible to get a normal lubrication nozzle on the nipple. The nozzle does not come down and can be locked around the nipple as it grabs the goods on the cross pin assy. Is there any other trick or nozzle I can use? The nozzle I have is 14 mm

You can try such a push grease press

but also all default european nozzels should also work:

or the more modern one

european default dimensions:

Pointed tip will just push in the ball of the grease nipple
