Just bougt a 7711. For getting plates on my tractor I need to know the normal and max front axle load, or better where to find the data.

Hi
Is there a name plate riveted to the tin work that the steering wheel and instrument panel is mounted on. That should have all the data on it.

The Owner Instruction manual rates maximum axle loads taking into account tyre size as well as pressure and speed of travel when the axle is set at the standard width.

According to my book ( Imperial measures 1986) the 7211 front axle with the track set at 56.3 inches (1695 mm )
Load ratings are higher at reduced speeds
16 inch wheels
6.50 x 16 up to 15.5 mph ( 25 kph) 3230 lbs (1465 kg ) max load
7.50 x 16 up to 25 kph (1778 kg)

20 inch wheels
7.50 x 20 up to 25 kph 2095 kg
7.50 x 20 up to 12.5mph (20kph) 2358 kg
7.50 x 20 3.5 bar up to 5mph (8kph) 2998 kg

I have missed out some of the data for the 16 inch wheels.

that data suggests that tyres are the limiting factor rather than axle strength itself

MY TYPO - ABOVE INFO IS FOR THE 7711 (NOT THE 7211)

The 7211 has a lower load rating at 25kph.

Sorry about that mistake.

REPEAT The above load info is for a 7711 (not the 7211 )

Yes the tyres look to be a limiting factor.
I have struck that with rating of bus axles.

Its pretty usual to mention axle weight limits at certain speeds: Wheel loader axles are rated at breakout force e.g. 20 ton, driving loaded e.g. 12 ton and driving empty at road speed, e.g. 9 ton.

This is because of the dynamic load of driving with weight on it. Also bearings wear faster at higher speed.
