I have a 1998 Zetor 6341 with a model 7702 engine. I recently found all my coolant in the base of the tractor. Hoping it was just a head gasket, I started pulling things apart. It is obviously not a gasket problem so I pulled the base thinking it is possibly a sleeve issue.

At this point I have determined that I need a shop manual - which I have now received from Zetor (big bucks!).

After opening the manual, I can find information on the 7701 engine and the 7703 engine but nothing which specifies the 7702 engine. In fact, some of my tractor data is listed under the 7701 heading and some under the 7703 heading. ie.: My injector pump number is the same as that on the 7701 which is the engine in the Zetor 6340 and the injector pump number for the 6341 (which is my tractor) is different from the number on my injector pump.

Also, can anyone tell me if my tractor is a "super"? My tractor is not a turbo.

Thanks for any help .

Hi,

Fill the engine block with water and look to see where the water drips from. You're on the right track with liner seals. They're not too tight to pull out.
Torque figures will be the same for your engine number. If it's a 21 or 41 model it is a Super.

Motors are all the same, except for perhaps fuel pump cam profile or combustion bowl in the cylinder. 7701 is the 1986 7745 engine, 7702 is the 1996 tier 1 engine which also replaced the older, shorter stroke 6245-7245 engines, 7703 is the 2004 tier 2 engine, and in 2008 they quit the UR1 engine family, whose basic architecture dated back to the 1958 3011 engine, and they put the 1991 UR3 engine in the UR1 successors too.

A 3 cylinder 6540 prototype was made early 90s and a Proxima 5421 was listed in the early brochures, but it was never built: It will soon be produced as CKD kit for the Russian market, 26 years after the prototypes were made.

AFAIK connecting rods from a 2007 7341 will fit a 1958 3011 prototype and vice versa. Only bore and stroke have changed over the years, as well as intake channel, intake valve, an extra coolant passage from the head to the block, and the long stroke 7711 got a wider block base to make room for the longer stroke crankshaft.
