Hi from Ireland, I'm James and own 3 tractors- mf 35, IH 523, and most importantly a zetor 6748. I have been using my 6748 for mainly field work eg ploughing and disking. I now have bought a 13 tonne excavator and wish to transport it with my 6748 but would like more of a 'pull' for going up hills and read in your forum that you can do this by adusting the injector pump, but I would like to be sure that it would not damage the pump as I have had no problem with my tractor scince io bought it 4 yrs ago.

Does this adjustment damage the pump in the long term?

Thanks,

we were using a 6718 to pull a 3 axle 18 cubic meter manure tanker (22 ton ??) on flat roads, with a bit of patience that went pretty well...13 tonne should be a piece of cake... ;):p

The 6718 used to be 10.000 hr contractor owned, smokes a bit so i guess it's pushing out near 75 hp.

There can be no damage to the pump, you can only damage it by over revving it. I've driven a Fendt 612 E for a day or 2, that did 2800 rpm to get to 45 km/h but the governor centrifugal flyweights made some funny rattles at full rpm ??. ???

Hi James,

Welcome to the Zetorworld forum!

The concern that I would have is not going but stopping. Does the low loader have air or hydraulic brakes?

I have a 1977 Zetor Crystal 8011, a 1959 MF 35 and a 1968 MF 50B digger (based on a 165).

I live in Claremorris - where are you based?

Tom
