multiplier valve

On my 7441 loader tractor, the multiplier valve that diverts hydraulic flow to operate the round bale grabber settles. It switches from bucket curl to grabbing the bale by pushing a button on the joy stick. When in the bucket curl position,the bucket settles. It seems ok when using the grabber. Also If I hook direct (bypass the valve) the bucket does not settle. It has done it since new,but is gettig worse. Is there any adjustment to this or just crappy tolerances in the spool ? Thanks.

Are you sure it's not the internal ram seals on the piston, as they are prone to seepage ?

As I stated, when hooked direct ,bypassing the valve ,the bucket does not settle.
