My name is Egil, I'm from Norway and I have a Zetor 5745 from 1976. Thank you for joining me here.

I have done a lot of work on my Zetor since I bought it in the autumn 2020.

It is not a total renovation, but correction of errors that I have found. This is what I have done:

- Head gasket - Rubber hoses for radiator and air filter
- Diesel filters
- Starter switch - Windshield wiper motor
- Rubber cuffs front wheel drive
- Rubber protection steering knuckles - Water pump
- Lights
- Mirrors

- Start button
- Igniteion lock

- Main power switch

- Clutch hats - Air bladders, cushions
and seat cover's
- Patch hull in ceiling
- Hose to compressor - Rear tires - Diesel crane - Lid for diesel tank
- Lid for radiator
- Thermostat - Oil drain screw - Sun screen
- Cable and drive for speedometer/tachometer
- Regulator for iskra dynamo

- Cover over alternator
- PTO shaft with shim ring - Brake master cylinder - Return springs for brake and clutch - Brake fluid, brake bleeding
- Diesel pump from 6245 with modifications for oil lubrication and connections
- 4 injection nozzle, a new injector, adjustment of all nozzles
- Adjustment of valves - O-rings on hydraulics

O-ring and sealing ring
on the handbrake shaft left side
- Painted bonnet, cabin, rims and body
- Decals
- Engine oil, transmission oil, servo oil, oil on rear axle and front axle
There is still a lot to do before it is perfect. For every thing I repair, I find two new ones.

One part I haven't been able to get hold of is the cover that sits over the lights on the screen. Does anyone know where I can buy these?

Ok, thats a good hint - I have to change some things for new members. :)
Edit:
I have just re set this, so new mambers should also be able to upload pictures. Sorry for the wrong configuration.

And welcome here also, Egil. :)

This was just after I got it. Then the question was: Wash, polish and varnish/paint - or keep the old platinum?

Today it looks like this.

With snow chains on the rear wheels. And few hours of work, and now all the lights works.

Previous owners had been sloppy with the oil lubrication of the diesel pump, I sent it for overhaul, but ended up with a new one for 6245. A little modification and now I have a 5745 where the pump is lubricated from the engine.

My father's 6045 in 1984 when it was new, - with the same trailer as my 5745 this summer. Unfortunately, all the old ones have been sold many years ago: Both 6045, a very nice 3545 which I would like to have, and the farm's first Zetor a 4718.
