Hi there, New Zealanders here!! :)

Have a 1993 Zetor , model 6340. Needed a new clutch plate and thrust bearing. Not bad considering it is its first!!!

HOWEVER, run into some trouble. Split the tractor, put in the new clutch and bearing, new fingers and nuts/ lock springs. Put it all back together and when you go to put your foot on the clutch, it goes down hard and then lets go to the floor, almost with a bang.

Whats up with that...???? Anyone got any idea why and how we can fix this without having the split it again?

WOULD REALLY appreciate some help here....

You can adjust the levers through the side hatch on the clutch bellhousing. 3 of them are from the travel clutch, the other three are from the PTO clutch.

Hi

Did you set the fingers correctly ? Main clutch 21mm, PTO clutch 33mm. Measured from the face where mounting bolts go through, to the tips of the fingers. You can adjust as Renze says through the side but difficult to measure !!
Did you grease the thrust bearing carrier on its tube. Is the thrust bearing carrier sitting back against the fork correctly as they can twist and not go right back.
