Hi, I'm a new guy from Indiana. My father owns a 3340 and recently, the brake pressure has dwindled to nothing. I'm trying to help him fix it but don't know my way around the tractor.

I have a few dumb questions before I start tearing the thing apart to explore where stuff is. Where is the reservoir located? I think I found the master cylinder on the right side of the gearbox. It looks like the brake lines go directly into the rear axle enclosure? How do you bleed the brakes on this thing?

Is there somewhere online that I can download any sort of owner's manual or service manual? The tractor has all sorts of levers and handles that pretty unconventional for the average tractor around here and the labels are long gone. I'd like to know what everything does and what the manufacturer recommends for preventive maintenance, servicing, etc.

Thanks in advance for all the help! Merry Christmas and Happy holidays - Chris.

brake fluid reservoir is under the hood on the right side before the cab.

Hi

The master cylinders are right in front of the pedals. The cylinder you mention is the balance valve. The bleed screws are down inside the axle in the same hole the pipes disappear into. You need a 9mm box spanner or a long socket.
