New Loader

We have had a bit of luck today and have finally managed to find a Tanco 978 loader boom with a Quick attatch coupling to fit the Tanco brackets on our 6748.We have an old 868 loader on the tractor at present which struggles to lift heavy round bales-the design is not quite right for it to work properly.With the new loader with adjustable pivot points it should be a lot easier going.
I didnt want to get a different loader because of the expense and several times came close to buying a non-zetor just to get a loader. I now want to retire the 6748 and look out for a 7045-I like the look of the square bonnet and it would match the Crystal bonnet when parked side by side!

Aha !! yes your loader would fit the newer models up to the 1992 model, wouldn't it ? It would even fit a Major if you can still get one...

Where is your 6748 going ? would you sell it to me, what's the price ? I know there are some holes in the tinwork but our 6718 has a good body...

How much more will the new loader lift ?

Ah and one thing: our 5245 has the optional high speed reverse gear (same speed as 3rd forward gear, instead of 2nd) which is too fast when backing out the manure silo with a bucket full of manure.... Just try it when you buy, maybe for round bale hauling in the open field, the faster reverse gear could be beneficial ???
