New purchase 8011, good or bad?!

Hi guys, I've been looking for a slightly bigger tractor than our ageing but reliable International B434 and was offered a 1975 8011 crystal at a very low price by a neighbour. We knew it needs a bit of TLC so having bought it now comes the list that just a quick look has shown up, bare in mind that it has not been used for a while!
Both brake master cylinders siezed
Foot throttle sticks
Hand brake lever knacked
Altenator not charging
All these are straight forward to fix and not uncommon so it seems, which brings me to the rest of the list.
PTO lever and Hare/tortoise lever both siezed in the column
Water pump has play (expensive?)
It starts fine with a charged battery but does seem to pressurise and blow a bit out of the dip stick tube when hot (90c) with 5000 hrs at least as thats whats on the clock is this uncommon? might get better with some use perhaps if its just a bit gummed up from lack of use
It seems like the clutch is ok and it changes through the gearbox ok with clutched changes but there does seem like a rattle coming from the cover by the side of the brake fluid reservior.
Oh yeah, all 4 tyres are shot as well
My choice is now do I put this all right and stick with it or sell it on at a small profit and look again. Does all this add up to too many problems to ever be any good?

With the 8011, you get a lot of tractor for your money.

The problems that you list are minor. A can of WD-40 and some elbow grease will sort out the foor throttle linkage, the PTO lever and the torque control (hare/tortioise).

A water pump costs in the order of 80 (50). Not difficult to replace either. If your one isn't leaking, I'd leave it for now.

Rear tyres - new rears 16.9 R34 cost about 300 (200). I hear good reports about Barum - the forestry folks like them so they are TOUGH! Front tyres cost around 80 (50).

Brakes cylinders are a problem but search the site for suggested replacements. What I did on mine was to fit mechanical brakes i.e. rods to operate the brakes and forget the cylinders all together. This works for me.

What oil pressure reading are you getting?

Is the hour meter working? 5000 hours is not a lot - then again this is more likely 15,000 hours or even possibly 25,000 if it had been well maintained!

Do you know anything of the tractors previous history? When this tractor was bought 30 years ago, it wasn't to mow lawns.

What will you use the tractor for?

The good news is that is wont cost and arm and a leg for the parts you mention. The things you list are very repairable.

The 8011 is more tractor than we need, we only have a small holding of 12 acres it is just that our 40ish HP International is a bit underpowered for many of the pto powered impliments that are easy to pick up cheap today, Muckspreader, Drum mower, baler etc.
History of the tractor? mainly unknown but it looks to have had little heavy work, there are no oil leaks from anywhere at all and most of the rear linkage has got next to no wear. Only the ends of the link arms on the outer balls are worn. Most of the resent work was probably link box or trailer only (sheep or cattle smallholdings are common around us). No sign of ever having a loader but there are some welded up splits in the ends of the front axle main u tube by the adjustment holes.
Plate on the side of the engine states type:- 7501, VYR CISLO 038604 ROK YVR 1975 is this right?
