Hey everyone, new to the site so reaching out with a hello.
Im here with a new to me tractor, a Zetor 8245. 5300hrs an she runs like swiss watch. Still trying to learn the machine.

Hope this post isnt to long, but i know it will be

As many visit here i am too also searching for Parts an or operators manuals . I have viewed a few, but most seem to leave out the 8245, and they have every other model in between. Some of the tractors systems seem to overlap. Despite 6-8 hrs of sourcing and skimming through multiple pdfs ive yet to find one that is either legible or has the 8245 included in its content.

So far ive viewed these pdf's, and probably a few more that where really difficult to view even when changing the zoom magnification. or using a translator

What i have saved now on my computer are:
Zetor-5011-7045-Operator-Manual
8621 Forterra turbo
beda zetor 3320-7340
zetormatic en1
zetor 5211-7745 operators manual
zetor 8211 parts catalog

So wondering what available pdfs are available or overlap functions the best. or is another available?

What im facing now is a bunch of questions, but the more pressing questions are listed below.

1) Next to the driver right side gear shift, there is a 3" round floor pedal, what is this function? a 4wd to 2wd selector ? i followed the mechanism into the transmission or transfer case, but it seems if there maybe some sort of small master cylinder before its throw enters the trans case. maybe the dust boot makes me believe its a cylinder. it moves slightly, but seems like it should move more. or maybe it will move more once the engine is running with oil pressure. thoughts?

2) passenger side towards the tractor front tire, along the frame an or motor block there is a swing lever with a pull lock. a pendulum like selector with no label, swings left, center selection is low, then swings up again to the right. i forget some specifics atm. is this the 2wd/4wd selector or maybe a front diff lock?

3) on the motor accessory belts there is a compressor on the passenger side with no belt attached. Is this an ac compressor, or air compressor for air brakes for trailers? Does this effect the tractors brakes, an or any other functions other then external air pressure systems? Brakes do not seem to work or barely work. But I would like to get the brakes to work once again. there are some grades on the property an i can always down gear but brakes just incase if its not a major overhaul would be great.

4) maintenance related- other then basic zerk or grease fittings, any hidden grease areas of high interest. Problematic areas that should be overly monitored and or known weak points i should go thru prior to running the machine for work?

5) looking for pto function diagrams. there's a 1-2inch knob and lever above the hydraulic pressure or speed control knob. its a round black metal knob with a star type point formation for i believe hand grip. i cant not figure out how it swings or its function. the knob is attached and doesnt look like its meant to turn, but to swing a lever. havent tried when running.

Gonna try to do some field work with a 540rpm 6ft brush hog soon before weather turns. hoping to gain knowledge on some of these pto related systems.

6) when starting, i gotta make sure im not spinning pto or other attachments. depite good batteries, high low an gear selcect in neutral, clutch engaged, i feel like some of the systems maybe engaged. it maybe related to some of the levers in question above, pto or hydraulic related. sometimes the motor spins over quickly to start, an other times seems to turn over slow. but other times its like somethings is slowing the turn over speed. wondering the internal condition of the starter.

At any given starting time it could possibly be from me switching levers, trying to understand the unlabeled levers function. since im sure it seems to have limited safety lockouts so you could start it with something engaged, an this accessory is now taxing the starter.

thats alot i know, so if u read this far thank you.

Hello, There a Belfast in Northern Ireland too. I used to have a ZTS 8245 and a 9245, so well used to them tractors. The round things on the floor on the right side is your differential lock peddle. You'll need to take a picture for the second one. The compressor needs belts only used to pump tyres. My tractors didn't come with AC, so I'm not sure where it was fitted. The PTO lever is on the left side of the steering wheel, unless you have an electric switch for it, but either mine had. Potting it between 540 and 1000 PTO is done the same as the older ones in the bell housing.

The 4wd for turning on is a manual knob under the seat on your left hand, on 8045 and was electric on the 9245 on the dash. The only safety was my tractors was you had to have it in neutral to start. Maintenance wise, it's just the same as any tractor.

Does your one have the synchromesh 40K gearbox?

What year is your tractor?

pendulum like selector, swings left, center selection is low, then swings up again to the right

Is that a kill switch for the battery, your looking at?
