New to tractors ... gotta 5718

Hi,

I have recently bought myself my first tractor for my smallholding set up here in mid-west france. I have a 5718 and found this forum while searching for info about it.

I want to get a plough for the 4 acre field and would like to know which one could be the best to go for (I plan to purchase in UK and collect with the sprinter van because the prices of vehicular/agricultural stuff in france is ludicrously high )

Also I have realised that cat 1, cat 2 etc is a good thing to know!!! so can someone please enlighten me as to what cat size of 3 point system I have and what length of top link to look out for.

even a 2011 two cylinder had CAT II hitch balls. dont worry all regular ploughs will fit. Unless you buy a 6 furrow semi mounted.

You can pull a 3 furrow 16" on reasonably flat land. On hills you might need some rear wheel ballast, or just a 2 furrow plough.

picked up a 2 blade reversible Huard plough today from a neighbour, just need to get a top link for it and Ican get on with field.

I forgot to mention that a 5718 will be able to pull a 3f reversible, but not to lift it off the ground
