On my back tires I can read - 12,4/11-36.
I guess that the "36" is the diameter of the rim in inches (?)
and the "11" is the width of the rim in inches (?) but what does
the "12,4" stand for ? Are such tires unusual, I can't seem to find any on the net.
I've just been out to measure Mr Zed's front hooves
They are marked 11,2/10-24
It seems that the 11,2 is the width of the tyre at the widest point, 10 seems to refer to the inside width of the rim, and 24 is the diameter of the rim.
Measurements in inches of course - hands up, everyone else who finds metric confusing For real world applications that is; I'll admit metric is handy in the lab.
