Newbie 5211 Clutch and Brake Problem

All parts were put back in, I got a complete clutch assembly with new release bearing, and throw out bearing.

The previous owner had adjusted the clutch up all the way. I may be making a mistake in getting the rods on plane. The repair manual refers to making sure the three rods are on same plane. This I do not understand, ac somebody make since of this to me.

the thrust bearing should hit the three main drive fingers and then after it has moved 6mm should touch the pto fingers and continue to move them 4-5 mm otherwise i cant think what else it is!!

faulty master or slave??

explain in great detail what is going on

from what i can remember the 3 pto finger are adjusted on the end of the fingers with the 2x 17mm nuts on the end

Hi

The fingers all need to be the same height (plane) from the clutch cover. Don't split it again just yet. Through the side plate adjust the 3 main drive fingers so you can just slide a 10mm spanner under the outside edge of the finger around the adjusting bolt. This is not text book stuff, but will work okay and save you a lot of work.

Good Luck

Mike

LUK is taken over by Valeo, i've heard.

Thanks Mike for the information. I will try that this weekend. We are still picking cotton, and have to finish before the weather changes here.

I bought this Zetor from a friend that needed some money. We use it around the house for light bushhogging and dragging the roads.

We have never worked on anything like it before.

I had two situations when i put my luk clutch in that had me scratching my head. 1st they ship the clutch with spacer blocks under the clutch fingers, this may be why your pedal will not engage , second the pto arm has fingers on it that may be broken, may not help you but its my two cents worth.

You can take the side cover off the bell housing and knock out the spacers.

Thanks Mike for the information, your suggestion worked just fine.
Was able to adjust the fingers thru the inspection plate, clutch engaged fired her up and works fine.
