I have no diesel in the return pipe. i have a link to this issue on youtube. What is yours opinion at this movie clip ?

Video is set to privat on youtube.

After the video clip, i conected the returnhose to the tank. and started the tractor, it runned for 1-2 min and it stoped. I bleeded the filter and the injectionpump and started it up again and i drived it with out no problem for 45 minutes.

Shall it not circulate diesel constant from the return pipe ?

Ther seems to be more air in the glasbowle after 3-4 min video and might indicate that the liftpump sucks air.
If I am right there is a overflow valve in the injection pump that open at 0,6 - 0,9 bar so consequently if the liftpump can't deliver that pressure the only diesel going back to the tank is what comes from the injectors and is not a lot. The air leakage is either the rubber gasket at the glas bowle or the hose going from the tank to the liftpump. Change the diesel filter as this can reduce the feeding pressure or block the diesel to the injection pump.

The glasbowl and the hoses to the tank is new. 2 weeks ago i istaled new hoses liftpump primerpump glasbowl filters And i stil need to bleed the system after 1-2 nights. So last night i instaled the old Lift/primerpump back on the tractor. I will order a elpump on ebay tonight :

This one i will instal on it . I have tryed for days to fix the problem without to instal a elpump, but no positiv results

My experience is that it is almost impossible to get the glass-bowle OK. It will leaks air.
I have installed an electrical lift pump and have had no problem what so ever. I kept the mechanical lift-pump and installed a HCO suction pump giving a slight prime pressure and have had no problem since that. Between the tank and the Hco pump there is a one way valve installed. Of cause I replaced all possible hoses. The return to the tank now shows a steady flow. My tractor is 4340 almost the same as 6245. If you not bypassing the mechanical lift-pump 2-3 PSI is what you need. 10 is to much.
I also replaced the glass-blowle filter with a Malpassi Water-trap. My tractor has worked perfect for 300 hr since that.
If somebody interesting I can deliver some photos of my installation.
Please ,make sure that the tube bend from the tank isn't blocked, a classical problem.

I have blowed in the hoses and no block . When i had of the Liftpump with the glasbowl i put it in water and sendt compresed air in to it, it was NOT leak air out of it . I see other members on this forum recomend minimum 10 psi elpump. Is it ok with a pump on 3 psi ? And yes, i will like to see your instalation.

If you "bypass" the mechanical pump you need 10 - 15 psi. If you use the electrical pump just to lift the fuel to the ordinary pump 2 - 4 psi is ok.

Do you have some photos of yours instlation ?
Where is the normal to instal it Before the mecanik liftpump . or after ?

As soon as the snowstorm is over I will take some pictures. There is probably no normal way doing this however i kept my mechanical pump and use the electrical one to just create a pre pressure. If you use a 10 psi pump you can also place it before the mechanical but than you need to take out the spring and piston so the diesl just can flow right throu it. Do not forget to plug the hole for th puch rod. My main reason for doing this was because the diesel flow back to the tank and the tractor become hard to start.

if its no diesel in the Return pipe..... have you checked that the diesel isnt in the engine oil sump due too an internal leak in main fuelpump....

Its the same problem i have. The tractor dont want to start after 2 days , I need to pump and somtimes to bleed it
