Oil from engine breather, How serious ?

Hi All,

I have recently bought a 6718, and it is leaking oil from the Banjo fitting on the side of the block, where the breather hose is connected to.

The engine starts no problem, and sounds very sweet, and has lots of power.

The tractor has been almost totally idle for approx 18 months.

I'm trying to convince myself that it's just a stuck piston ring

What are the chances ?

I have managed to stop the leak by fitting a jubilee clip onto the hose, as it was a poor fit onto the Banjo end, but obviously this is not fixing the problem.

Any help appreciated.

Mark

If its not using much oil and the exhaust smoke is fairly clean, Ignore it.
